Adult Aerial Try It Night March 15th
This once a month event gives absolute beginners the opportunity to try their hand at aerial arts. This event offers an introduction to silks, hammock and lyra in this 1 hour and 15 minute class. $15
This try it night is designed for adults! Please no kiddos at this one!
"Which Way did they go?: Connecting moves and helpful transitions"
Join us in this 1 hour 45 minute workshop breaking down some fun and unique pathways and flows with John Hernandez.
John Hernandez is an accomplished aerialist based out of the Pacific Northwest where he’s been working his craft since 2007. His skills have been shown in the Portland OR area, Seattle and Spokane, WA as well as Kansas City, MO. While performing has always been a great outlet, John has spent most of his time developing his skills and passion as an instructor. Working with Night Flight Aerial and Echo Theater Company in Portland, OR. he focuses on establishing a good foundation, fundamental techniques, working step by step progressions to help with strength and confidence building.
Silks Splitty Sequences
Join us for Silks Splitty Sequences, a workshop hosted by Katie in the Sky at Inspired Aerial Arts. This workshop is all about mastering dynamic, splitty shapes and flowing transitions that will make your sequences pop! Whether you're looking to add flair to your performances or simply love finding that new, perfect split, this is your chance to get bendy and creative in the air.
Expect to dive into innovative sequences that emphasize smooth, eye-catching transitions while building strength and flexibility. Katie’s expert tips will help you refine your technique, unlock new shapes, and feel more confident in your flow. Come ready to play, stretch, and split your way to stunning silks combos!
Level & Prerequisites: Students must be able to consistently do aerial inversions, climb, and understand basic aerial theory. Students should be able to stay in the air for at least two minutes at any given time.
Katie Critzer (also known at Katie in the Sky) is the Co-Owner and Head Aerial Silks coach at South Dakota Aerial & Arts and Founder of the Dakota Aerial Championship in Sioux Falls South Dakota. She was a lifelong gymnast and has been practicing aerial arts since 2017.
She is passionate about making aerial arts classes and performances accessible and fun for individuals of all levels, ages, and abilities. She co-founded Sioux Falls' first circus performance group in 2020 and has brought the joy of aerial arts to hundreds of different events and venues across the Midwest. Her aerial performance group was named Best New Business by 605 Magazine in 2021.
