Summer Camp Are Just Around the Corner!
Summer camps are here as we get ready for warm weather and school ending! We have two main types of camps that will each run twice throughout the summer.
Aerial Sampler Camps
June 9-13 (The Wonderful World of Bugs)
July 14-18 (It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, it’s an Aerialist!)
This camp is designed to cater to those curious about all aspects of aerial. You will get experience on silks, hammock, and lyra, as well as enjoying some dance, games, and crafts. This camp runs from 12-3 each day Monday through Friday and will incorporate a mini-presentation of the things we learned at the end of the week. We welcome aerialists of all ages and experience levels in this camp to come have some fun in the air.
We will have a theme for each week of camp. In the June camp we will be building around the theme of bugs, following a butterfly through its journey of metamorphosis. In July we will be exploring methods of flight from birds to airplanes to rocket ships. Come join us, spend some time learning something new, and find some creativity in the air.
Aerial Dance Camps
June 16-20- Welcome to our Fairy Garden
July 16-20- Emotions: A Look Inside
This camp is recommended for students who are ready to spend a longer day in the studio with more emphasis put on the final product. We will spend from 9 am to 2 pm each day working to learn more on silks, hammock and lyra. This is for kiddos who have an interest in incorporating more dance and flow into a set of three routines for our mini-show on the Friday of each camp. This camp is also open to all ages and experience levels. Your camper will get the most out of this camp if they have taken at least a beginning level class in some form or another.
We will have a theme for each week of camp. Our June camp, entitled "Welcome to our Fairy Garden" will be an exploration of a mythical world. In July we will explore the things underneath the surface as we take a step into our emotions. Each camp will have one performance on each apparatus so choose the theme and time that works best for your camper.
While both camps are open to all ages and experience levels, please choose the camp that will make the most sense (and be the most fun) for your camper!
