Auditions, fundraiser, and More!
Hello all! We are back in that phase of show planning, and really wanted to create something that makes a difference in the world! This June, we will be performing a show centered around mental health titled “Free Your Mind.” This is the first show that we will be holding open auditions for (as opposed to just signing up for a slot).
AUDITIONS
While we hope to make the show mostly uplifting and inspiring, there will absolutely be some heavy elements regarding mental health struggles. For this reason, we do allow youth ages 10+ to audition, but we strongly encourage parents to consider and evaluate whether or not this subject and material is something their youth are ready to tackle.
1/2 of our profits from this show will be donated directly to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). They have spearheaded all sorts of work in mental health starting at school age and beyond.
Our Audition poster is below. When Auditioning, please arrive 15 minutes early in order for us to get you checked in, and to complete a short questionairre. We are seeking aerialists, dancers, and prop manipulators. The below poster has posted audition times. Call backs will be scheduled for those that we may want to see perform a solo or duet.
Our First Ever Aerial Competition!
This April, we will be sending 12 of our aerialists to compete in their first ever aerial competition! We are so excited to be representing Inspired Aerial Arts all the way in San Antonio, Texas! In preparation, we are planning a fundraising performance in which each performer will get to perform their competition solo! Tickets are now available, and the cool thing about them, is we have a drop down menu so you can select which competitor or coach fees you would like to help offset competition costs for!
Seating will be limited with some standing space, and we do expect this fundraising show to sell out, so make sure to buy a ticket early if you are planning on attending.
Our fundraising show will be Sunday, March 24th at 6pm! Can’t wait to see you all there!
In addition, we will be conducting a raffle at the event. If you have business services or items you would like to donate for our raffle, let me know! Any size item or service will help offset costs for our lovely competitors!
Try It Night
This Saturday, February 17th, we have an Adult Silks Try it Night at 7pm! Tell your friends, or show up yourself if you’ve been considering trying! Try it night is only $15, and an awesome opportunity to give it a try without committing to a full session!
